ROTATIONAL CASTING MACHINE - FABRICATION

After conceptualizing an exhibition inspired by tic-tac-toe games from grade school jungle gyms, came the challenge of fabrication. Each hollow form would be wrapped with information and images about one of the West Side Chicago closed public schools. To make identical hollow forms, a rotational casting machine was built from scratch, along with a custom mold that deconstructed for easy reuse. Special thanks to my Dad for his help with the project. It was a fun challenge and the perfect way to make the vision of this exhibition come to life!
