SUBURBANIZATION - PHOTO ESSAY

Suburbanization documents the changing landscape of rural Illinois in the midst of a housing boom. Where there had long been primarily farms and quaint homes, subdivisions of new construction were springing up at a high rate. This series encapsulates the period of encroaching development taking place in this and similar areas across the United States. This project received support from the Albert P. Weisman Award.
